Based in Brooklyn, the Good Idea Bears write and perform original children’s theater that invites and encourages participation from the audience. After last season’s productions of Snow White and the Battle for Pittsburgh and The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, we are thrilled to present The Great Christmas Tree, Jack and the Beanstalk: Beanman’s Revenge, and Cinderella, or a Godmother’s Tale in the 2019-2020 season.

The Great Christmas Tree

Olivia is a little kid with a BIG imagination, which sometimes makes her feel a bit…different. This is especially evident when her class is given a new assignment: to write their own holiday season tale together. Feeling left out, Olivia finds herself alone with the classroom’s Christmas tree, that is until (by way of some holiday magic) she is pulled inside and plopped into a land of walking, talking ornaments! Olivia’s new acquaintances must help her find her way home, and maybe—with a little holly jolly spirit—they can also show her the importance of friendship and being proud of who you are.
