This creative team is interested in collaborating with detailed storytellers of all genders, ethnicities, and body types for this queer celebration; particularly interested in working with self-identifying trans, non-binary and gender-queer actors. We hope to use this iconic and powerful piece to ask hard questions of today’s audience by correlating the heavy content of 1929 Berlin, Germany to 2019 in our country.

“This is not your mother’s Cabaret.”

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
All actors should prepare two 16 bar cuts that demonstrate their vocal and storytelling ability. If actors are invited to a callback, they will be asked to prepare sides from the piece as well as participate in a full dance / movement call. Though dance will not be incorporated until callbacks, the team is seeking physically connected actors with refined technique for our Kit Kat Klub. Come out, meet the team, sing / storytell for us and talk about your experience with dance at your audition!

It is specified in the show that some of the Kit Kat Klub members should be able to play instruments. This is not mandatory for this production. However, if you feel you are an accomplished instrumentalist in any of the listed orchestrations, please bring your instrument in order to demonstrate proficiency.
