As a not-for-profit theater located in Park Slope since 1967, the Gallery Players is dedicated to producing classic and contemporary plays and musicals, as well as premiering new works. The purpose of the Gallery Players is to nurture and provide opportunities for theater artists, to bring professional-quality theater to Brooklyn audiences at an affordable cost, and to instill the appreciation of theater in future generations. Gallery is one of the few nonprofit theaters in Brooklyn that is able to present award-winning productions of cutting-edge revivals of works first seen on and off Broadway, as well as premiere ambitious new plays and musicals, while also offering workshops, classes, and a summer musical theater program for local children.
