Online Workshop – Song and Story: A Journey to Oz

July 8, 2020 - August 12, 2020

SONG AND STORY: A JOURNEY TO OZ
Wednesdays with Heather Curran
Entering Grades 3-6

During this six week course students will learn vocal exercises and theater games designed to promote confidence, musicality, creativity, and spontaneity within the musical theatre genre. We’ll be learning songs from musicals inspired by the American children’s novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. These shows include: The Wiz, Wicked, and The Wizard of Oz. We’ll also be delving into the characters and story of this wonderful piece of American literature. Let’s play!

GENERAL PROGRAM DETAILS: All online classes will begin at 3:30pm via Zoom and last one hour. Classes run for six weeks beginning July 6th and run thru August 14th. Age groups are recommended. All classes have a limited number of seats available.

*Preparing a Creative Workspace in your Home: Clear some space for your child to move around and feel comfortable. Make sure the video is in a visible place where your child can easily see the screen. We realize everyone will have a different set-up and will work with what each family has!
